KELSEY JEFFRIES RETAINS IFBA FEATHERWEIGHT BELT IN KOREA

IFBA Featherweight Champion Kelsey Jeffries now 40-9-1, successfully defended her title on Sunday, December 23 in Eumsung, South Korea. Jeffries defeated challenger Jun Yun Jung of Korea by unanimous decision at 126 pounds. This marks the first title defense for the veteran “Road Warrior” in Korea and the eighth defense of her title since becoming the IFBA titleholder in 2004. Jun Yun Jung proved to be a tough competitor, constantly trading punches with the veteran Jeffries, but Kelsey proved to be the more accomplished boxer and took home the win.
