Holm retains the IFBA Jr. Middleweight Title and Bragging Rights to the Pound for Pound Title

Albuquerque’s Holly Holm (22-1-2, 6 KOs) scored a one-sided unanimous decision over Detroit’s Mary Jo Sanders (25-1, 8 KOs). Defending her IFBA title at 154, Holm outpointed Sanders through ten rounds to win with scores of 98-92, 97-93 and 98-92 to continue as the IFBA Jr. Middleweight Champ. The Fresquez-promoted, PPV-televised card aired three additional title fights, two of which ended by split decisions. In a 135 pound bout for the vacant IFBA lightweight title, Chevelle Hallback (27-5-2, 11 KOs), of Tampa, Fla. defeated Jeannine Garside (7-1-1, 3 KOs), Ontario, Canada, via split decision, with scores of 94-96, 96-94 and, 99-91. In an IFBA mini flyweight title fight, Wendy Rodriguez (19-4, 3 KOs), evened the score in a rematch against Hollie Dunaway (21-7, 10 KOs), of Van Buren, Ark., with scores of 94-96, 96-94 and 98-92. The opening title fight, for the 108-pound Jr.Flyweight IFBA belt, ended with a clear-cut unanimous decision for Carino Moreno (17-1, 5 KOs), of Watsonville, Calif., over Hawaii’s Eileen Olszewski (5-1-1). Scores were 100-90 twice and 97-93. The sold-out crowd of 2,000 plus filled the air with cheers and praise for all the fighters on the card,
