(Mar.30, 2005) The IFBA World Championships were held in Shenyang’s Sunrise International Hotel. Eight fighters from five countries participated in the contest. In the first match, Marbel Zurita, IFBA flyweight champion fought against Korean opponent Shin Hee Choi. In the 7th round, Shin Hee Choi was injured, stopping that match. Based on points, Shin Hee Choi from Korea won the bout. In the following three fights, the boxers fought for the full 10 rounds. Fighters from South and North Korea were victorious.

Gu, Korea.
In a majority decision Arima held on to her IFBA 118 pound crown finishing with a decisive tenth round knock down of Kim, costing Kim her last glimmer of hope to regain her IFBA title.
