IFBA Featherweight Champion Kelsey Jeffries now 40-9-1, successfully defended her title on Sunday, December 23 in Eumsung, South Korea. On November 9, 2007, in Dae Jeong, an hour outside of Seoul, the first contender for the Mini Flyweight World title stepped onto the scale. Eun Young Huh of South Korea seemed to easily make the 105 pd limit. Her opponent Il Lim Jun out of China, tipped the scale a 1/2 pound over on her first attempt. IFBA Welterweight Champion Holly Holmes successfully defended her title with a unanimous decision over Angel Martinez. Judges scored the fight 99-91, 99-91 and 96-94 for the IFBA title-holder. All 3 judges scored the fight in favor of reigning IFBA Jr. Bantamweight Champion Gi Young Kim in front of a sold out crowd outside Seoul, South Korea.  Chinese challenger Shen Dan Yue stalked the quicker Kim all throughout the fight, but was not able to counter Kim’s jabs and strong right hand.
